 Pre-budget ‘recovery plan’ expected

The Financial Times reports that Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Chancellor Rishi Sunak are planning to publish a pre-Budget “recovery plan” later in the month, setting out medium-term proposals to boost investment and skills to kickstart the economy as it emerges from lockdown. A government official told the paper that the Chancellor “is expecting this to be the last time he talks about the immediate term support package”.
